Blood Orange Records first official release Repressed with new jacket & inserts as well as some audio tweaks! From GG Allin & The Jabbers first tour ever! This show was part of the small tour the Jabbers did with David Peel and the Lower East Side (Peel had the Jabbers play as his band on this tour with GG playing drums, Rob & Johnny on guitar and Alan Chapple on bass - so they had some long nights playing with Peel, then playing their own set, then returning for a 2nd set in cases!). This show was recorded a few weeks before GG & The Jabbers went into the studio to record their iconinc Always Was LP and features what is in my humble opinion the best lineup they had in the early 80s!
Reissued using the original 1987 Black & Blue QCA mothers (with bonus tracks) and the original 1980 Orange Records cover (per GGs request upon future pressing). THE CLASSIC LP THAT STARTED IT ALL!!
We just received a new batch so to keep pressings separate we have changed the insert to a green paper stock. 1st pressing 500 "misprint" Basso missing from jacket credits - both labels list "Birth Side" with square hype sticker & white newsletter insert - sold out in 45 days. Edits overlooked by design & proofer - both have been beheaded and buried. 2nd pressing 500 "corrected" all info updated - round orange hype sticker - pink newletter with credit info on reverse. 3rd pressing 500 round orange hype sticker - green newsletter with credit info.
In 1990 when this was first released Black & Blue Records was gaining worldwide recognition as a label thanks to the GG Allin association. With that status distributors came knocking and one of the largest took a large amount of the records, defaulting on the payments & finally declaring bankrupcy and Black & Blue lost a lot of $$ because of it. It almost bankrupt the label. Luckily they made it through. In 1997 the PMRC was sinking their fangs into labels & pressing plants and it continues to this day. After the release of the 2LP set - Doctrine of Mayhem/Boozing & Pranks - Rainbo Records called Peter Yarmouth in 1997 to say they had destroyed the Boozing mothers and Doctrine was in queue for the same fate, luckily he convinced them run one final pressing of vinyl only, without covers. The remains of that batch sat in storage for the last 23 years - 434 copies to be exact. This is the end of Doctrine of Mayhem vinyl, so we ran a custom cover / insert so you fans could get one before they vanished. We hope you like the latest BOR / BnB co-op!
Remastered from the original studio tapes by Güs Sissüm - this EP includes an alternate Dead or Alive, a far better produced Gimme Some Head with sharper vocals/leads/backup vocals, a previously unreleased 1982 interview clip from UNH as well as Occupation - unreleased because GG thought it was too much of a pop song for the Jabbers. The song was bootlegged and released previously at the wrong speed and with terrible audio quality. Comes with booklet full of info including the true story behind the GSH sessions and what happened as a result of them. Don't miss out on this one!
Jesse & The Hogg Brothers are back with their FIRST vinyl release! A full length LP with gatefold jacket - lyrics & collage - skrinkwrapped and beautiful! These guys have been touring - writing - recording non-stop since their first appearance on the iconic Music To Make Your Ears Hurt 1990 compilation. GG and Jesse were friends since the beginning and GG (with his keen ear for Country) turned Güs onto them in 1988. Güs first met Jesse in 1990 when Jesse & Holly Would were in Sweden visiting Wolfie at Blitz, they didn't get along too well at the time but over the years the two became close and Güs even appears on the Get Hammered LP playing bass on a couple of the better tracks! Texas Cowpunk Rules!!
